Our Trainers and Resource Persons

SPEED's trainers work closely with the management team to plan and deliver high-quality courses. Every trainer has experience in training and teaching, and has experience in the particular area of training. The following is a list of trainers who most commonly work with us. However, this is not a complete list. Please contact us if you would like more information about our trainers and the Resource Persons we work with in certain specialized fields.

Seema Karim Prodhan has an English Medium background with rich teaching experience. She did her O` Levels from Farrington`s Preparatory School. She completed an Associate of Business Executives (A.B.E) from Cavendish College, London, United Kingdom. She then obtained a Primary Teaching Diploma from the London Montessori Centre, London. She served as teacher of English in Bangladesh and in England. She has been working with SPEED for several years now.

Khozaima Fatehali Ziauddin has completed his Master of Arts in English in TESOL from North South University, from which he received a gold medal for his extraordinary result. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with distinction from Shimer College, U.S.A. and Oxford University, England (student exchange program) as an Honors Scholar. Mr. Khozaima has been conducting courses for SPEED for several years.

Sadra Nishwar Siddiky completed her Masters in TESOL from North South University. She did her postgraduate diploma in Media and Communications in 2004 from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Sadra obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from North South University. She worked as a Lecturer at Centre for Languages, BRAC University for about four years. She has experience in teaching English in well-known private schools.

Dominic Bennett is the Director of Marketing and Business Development at a professional development institute as well as the Project Director at a leading consultancy firm. He has previously worked as the General Manager, Head of HR and Training in renowned NGOs like Aarong. He is also a resource person for several universities. Besides, this he has worked for leading MNCs in Bangladesh. He has done his Bachelors in Business Administration with dual specialization in MIS and Management from North South University. His Masters is from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia with dual specialization in Finance and International Business. He has an excellent track record of training on various topics related to professional development and possesses more than 10 years of corporate experience. He has trained participants from various industries which include financial institutions, MNCs and local conglomerates on a variety of soft skills as well as in-depth programs. He brings his own work experience to each of his sessions and his background in corporates and NGO settings gives him a unique insight into the functions of these organizations.

Khurrum Malik is a senior trainer having long experience in training corporate professionals of different sectors. He worked as senior faculty of BRAC Institute of Languages, BRAC University. He worked on different projects as a trainer in the BRAC Education Programme, BRAC Microfinance, BRAC Bank, City Bank, Southeast Bank, Care Bangladesh, Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Center (IIFC), World Vision, Family Heath International (Fhi), HB Consultants Ltd., Navana Group, and SGS Bangladesh. The trainings conducted were in different segments like communication, language, etiquette, leadership skills, negotiation, presentation, motivation, ethics, team building, interviewing, cross cultural communication, time management, accounting and finance. He has more than two decades of corporate experience. He worked for City Bank, IFIC Bank and Chittagong Stock Exchange, where he held the position of Deputy General Manager and Head of Research and Information Service. He completed his Masters in ELT (English Language Teaching) also Executive MBA from Presidency University. He obtained a Professional Degree in Accounting and Finance from Newcastle Upon Tyne University, England.

Rokshenda Yasmin has completed her Master of Arts in English in TESOL from North South University and had her graduation from University of Arizona, USA. She worked as a teacher of several renowned English-medium schools in Dhaka. She also worked with OIC and SAARC on different occasions. She has obtained a Diploma in Computing from BRAC.

Samea Bushra is an Academic Supervisor in Scholastica. She has successfully achieved the Diploma Course in Computer Studies from Genetic Computer School. She is also doing her BBA from NSU University. She achieved the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) recently.

Parsa Sanjana Lateef, an Academic Supervisor in Scholastica, has successfully achieved B.Com from Dhaka City College. With many years of experience in education and in teacher training, sharing knowledge is a passion and motto for Ms Lateef. She has achieved the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT).

Sohan Salek completed his B.A. (Hon.) in Media & Communication in 2005 from the University of Greenwich, UK. He also completed his B.A (Hons) in Journalism in 2003 from Falmouth College of Arts, UK. He had been awarded a scholarship for this degree. Mr. Sohan Salek completed his B.A. (Hons) in English from North South University. He has work experience in BBC World Service Trust, Dhaka as a freelancer and editor. He has also worked with the Daily Star and is currently a faculty member in Scholastica.

Ms. Anika Amberyin ,conducted several Professional Development Workshops while working with Scholastica as a full time teacher from 2003-2012. She completed a Master of Arts from the Department of English, University of Dhaka. Ms. Amberyin completed Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) with Distinction. Ms. Amberyn is working with SPEED as a part-time trainer in the Schools Program.

Md. Millat Hossain has 15 years of experience in teaching English in different renowned English medium schools including Scholastica. He is also known as a creative writer and his write ups are regularly published in Dhaka Digest. He has completed a Masters of Arts in English under National University. He has also completed the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers. On top of that Mr. Hossain has achieved 3 years of French diploma from Alliance Francaise De Dacca.

Ms. Shireen Akhter is a former Academic Supervisor in Training and Development unit at Scholastica, presently working as a teacher at International School Dhaka (ISD). She has done her Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers. She has accomplished the certificate course of Business English (Advanced Level) from SPEED. She has also obtained her Masters degree in English Literature. Apart from this, she works in British Council as a part-timer.

Imran Newaz Khurshid: After completing the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) from SPEED, Imran Newaz Khurshid is currently a trainer of SPEED. He is also working as an Assistant Manager in the Training and Development Department at JAAGO Foundation. Imran has acted as a facilitator of different workshops for BELTA and other youth development programs. Imran has recently participated at an International Exchange Program in Sweden called the ‘Young Connectors of the Future’.

Nadia Zamal Chowdhury is the Senior Manager, Operations at SPEED. She has worked with two leading MNCs in Bangladesh for several years. Her career started in customer service and before joining SPEED she was the head of credit realization in a bank for four years. She is a business graduate, currently enrolled in Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers and also nearing completion on her EMBA degree from North South University.

Ms. Mahmuda Yasmin, a former faculty member of Scholastica, is presently working as the Senior Coordinator of the Schools Program in SPEED. She has successfully achieved a Bachelor in Science under Dhaka University. She has also completed her Bachelor in Education and Masters in Education course recently and accomplished the certificates with Distinction from South East University. With long years of experience in education and in teacher training she has also completed the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) and achieved distinction in two modules.

Faria Khan`s academic achievements consist of CIDTT from SPEED in October 2008 and Bachelors in Business Administration from Newport University, UK (1999). She had the opportunity and exposure to work in several sectors, from being a junior programmer cum trainer in a computer firm to being an active participant in a research team for Population Council, eventually pursuing teaching and settling with the top institution in the education industry in Bangladesh - Scholastica. She has been with Scholastica for eight years, joining as a teacher in 2002 and then working as an Academic Supervisor until joining SPEED in June 2010.

Mohammad Khalid currently working in the Corporate Professional Development Department at SPEED, is also the coordinator of Ascent Group Training and Development. He has successfully completed his BA (Literature) and MA (Literature) in English. He has experience working in versatile industries like IT and Media. He is a regular trainer for the Induction program of Ascent Group and has conducted team building, customer service and time management workshops.

Tehmina Malek completed her Bachelors of Business Administration from Manarat University, and an internship in GrameenPhone. She worked as a teacher in Scholastica for a few years. She has completed her Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) and achieved distinction in one module. She is presently working as Senior Officer in operations for the School`s Program in SPEED.

Samia Mallik is currently working as the Coordinator of the Youth Development Program, which is also known as SPEED Youth. She completed her schooling from the International School in Mozambique, and has a Bachelors degree in Marketing from American International University- Bangladesh (AIUB). Currently she is doing her Masters in Development Studies (MDS) from North South University. Before working in SPEED, she had the opportunity to start her career working in MNCs like Standard Chartered Bank and HSBC.

Munira Saifuddin Hussain has spent most of her student life in Kolkata, India. She graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from the Bhowanipore Gujarati Education Society College under Calcutta University. She has worked in India for almost five years and has had the opportunity to work for HSBC (India) for two and a half years. After coming to Bangladesh, she started to pursue her EMBA from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and has been awarded the merit scholarship in two consecutive semesters for her outstanding result. She has also worked as a faculty member for Scholastica for one and a half years and is now working with SPEED.

Sabrina Islam is a former faculty member of Scholastica. She is a Business graduate and has been awarded the merit scholarship in two consecutive semesters for her outstanding result. She has had the opportunity to work for British American Tobacco, Bangladesh as coordination officer for two years. With five years of experience in teaching in Scholastica, she has also received the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) and achieved distinction in one module.
